This project was inspired by the collection of resources found within the Ruby Grant Pedagogy Resource Center at the University of Oklahoma. We would like to thank Dr. Jane Magrath and Dr. Barbara Fast for their efforts in maintaining this library.
Several studies served as references in the design of our database structure. Rita Fuszek's book Piano Music in Collections (1982) and Carolyn Maxwell's Maxwell Music Evaluation File (1977) provided insight into the cataloging process. Also, three current websites cataloging piano literature were evaluated and can be accessed through links on the home page.
Thanks to all of the teachers who took the time to consider various aspects of our database design. Your suggestions were invaluable in creating an intuitive website. We would like to especially thank Dr. Julie Knerr for her contributions during our preliminary brainstorming sessions about our list of techniques.
